Peter Tsar the Great Framed Travel Prints

RM 615RM 732

Karlovy Vary, 2020

Elevate your bohemian style home decor with this this print from the Pretty Places On Earth collection. In the footsteps of Peter Tsar the Great, many Russian day-trippers and travellers who are mostly senior citizens, come to Vary for treatments by drinking the health-restoring sulphuric waters, much like the Tsar did in the 18th Century.

The photo will be printed on sustainable art paper that is personally hand-picked. It is off-white, and its uncoated material texture means it is a heavyweight museum-grade paper ensuring the print’s longevity when displayed. Every print arrives with a white border, making sure that it looks good in a frame with or without a mount opening. It’s the perfect decor for any space.

Features:

  • The frames are made from pine and come in 2 colours: natural wood and dark brown wood.
  • They are 20-25mm/ 0.79″-0.98″ thick and 10-14mm/ 0.4″-0.6″ wide, providing the perfect balance of durability and style.
  • To keep your print looking its best, we use shatterproof, transparent plexiglass to protect it from damage.
  • We include hanging hardware with every order, making it easy to hang the frame in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
  • Our matte paper is uncoated and natural white (off-white). The 250 gsm/ 110lb paper is perfect for fine art, designed to last for years without losing its original beauty.
  • With alkaline papermaking technology, this print is acid-free, meaning the pH of the pulp that is used to form the paper is above 7 (neutral). The paper is also buffered with an alkaline reserve, such as calcium carbonate, to neutralize acid compounds absorbed from the atmosphere or formed through natural ageing. This ensures that your print will last many years without any yellowing or discolouration.
  • Our print is free from or low in OBA (optical brightener additives). This ensures that the natural white colour of the paper remains consistent under different lighting conditions. In contrast, the color of papers that contain optical brighteners can shift depending on the light source. Additionally, the color of OBA-free paper remains more consistent over time, so you can enjoy the poster for years without any shifts.
  • We use FSC-certified paper and frame or equivalent certifications depending on regional availability. It’s better for the people and the planet!
  • Each print and frame is shipped in robust packaging, ensuring it arrives in pristine condition.
  • Paper sizes may vary slightly by region. For the US and Canada, the measurement is in inches, while for the rest of the world, it is in centimetres.
  • For indoor use only.
  • It is printed and shipped on demand. No minimums are required.

1. I’m confused about the print size

We hear you. This took us a while to figure out too.

The global print and photography industry is littered with inconsistencies when it comes to print size, photograph dimensions, frame measurements and mount openings. It is common to see one print shop or a photographer selling prints in various sizes and dimensions to another. This can result in confusion, frustration and sometimes disappointment.

We strive to do our best to make everything clear and consistent for you.

The prints are available in four different sizes, but not all prints are available for purchase in every size or measurement you see in the shop. Each print comes with a white border to maintain a clean style when displayed, while some come with typography to add a trendy and modern look to the print.

Here are the available sizes in the shop:

30 x 40 cm / 12 x 16”

50 x 70 cm / 20 x 28”

60 x 80 cm / 24 x 32”

70 x 100 cm / 28 x 40″ (only available with frameless prints)

Before considering a purchase there are two important terms to understand and differentiate.

the “print paper size” means how big the paper size is.

the “printed photo size” means how big the printed image is.

So for example, a 30 cm x 40 cm print order means the total paper size (print paper size) is 30 cm x 40 cm. The actual image on the paper (printed photo size) is 20.1 cm x 29.1 cm due to the inclusion of the white border on all sides. Now do note that you will only see the ‘Print Paper Size’ option for FRAMELESS prints.

As for framed prints, you will see ‘Size’ option to choose a framed print size of your desire.

Since Ikea sells budget-friendly frames, we’ve used their frame measurement as a benchmark.

A good example of Ikea’s frame that is sold with the mount opening is HOVSTA and RIBBA. FISKBO is the most affordable among the three but does not come with a mount opening. So for that reason, each print comes with a white border to maintain a clean style when displayed.

2. Do the prints come with frames?

Yes. Most of our prints are sold with wooden frames either Ready-to-Hang or Not Assembled.

We offer wooden frames in three different colours styles:

  • Dark Wood
  • Oak Wood
  • White
  • Black

We also have some prints sold without frames.

If you already have a frame and want to fill it with a Uurya Print, please ensure that you purchase the correct “print paper size”.

If you have a frame that does not include the mount, don’t worry because all the prints are designed with white borders to maintain a clean style with or without a mount.

3. Are your prints sustainable?

Yes all our prints are sustainable. This is personally important to us because the paper chosen is integral to the quality of the photographic works.

We’ve spent countless hours reviewing printers that put sustainability at the core of their business practices. All photographic works are printed to archival museum-grade and premium quality. Each are overseen by master printers who thoughtfully select papers and frames that are FSC certified or equivalent certifications depending on regional availability. It’s better for the people and the planet!

We selected two types of paper:

  • Premium matte paper (or Uncoated 200 gsm / 80lb cover)
  • Archival matte paper (or Uncoated 250 gsm / 100lb cover)

Archival paper is only available on uncoated stock. It has a more “natural” colour as it doesn’t contain any optical brightening agents.

Intentional sustainable packaging

In our efforts to do our bit for the environment in any way possible, all packaging materials are recyclable and reusable.

For prints, different packaging are used (either flat, tube, tube with shipping roll, or triangular/rectangular box) depending on the size of the print as well as the country where the print is produced and shipped from.

What we’re working on:

There’s a lot more to the shop’s trajectory to a fully sustainable supply chain.

Check back in the coming months as we continue to document changes for the shop’s supply chain.

4. Who prints and delivers the items?

A selected local print partner will print and do deliveries. They receive the order from Yasmin Uurya and is responsible for printing, framing and performing quality reviews. Our prints are made on demand. The print partners will also help package and deliver the order to you.

Please allow 7 -14 business days for delivery.

5. What type of paper do you use?

We’ve spent long hours reviewing options to select the best paper for our photography, and your prints. Although we cannot share with you the paper brand used, we can, however, confirm that these are the two types of papers we selected:

  • Premium matte paper (or Uncoated 200 gsm / 80lb cover)
  • Archival matte paper (or Uncoated 250 gsm / 100lb cover)

Archival paper is only available on uncoated stock and has a more “natural” colour as it doesn’t contain any optical brightening agents.

The difference it makes to the images is truly amazing! The detail and colour of each print are beautifully presented with depth, texture, zero shine and lasting quality. The paper itself is rich to the touch and can last for several hundred years.

6. What if my prints arrive damaged?

If your prints arrive with obvious damage to the packaging, the print and the frame, please immediately take photos of the damage and immediately inform us within 30 days of receiving the item by emailing hello@yasminuurya.co

Please do the same if you believe the order was damaged during transit.

7. What if I don’t like the print I ordered?

We hope you’ll be delighted and happy with the prints. Unfortunately there will be no refunds or returns if you change your mind before or after receiving your artwork.

Refunds or reprints will only be provided due to damages or defects of the print. You can however, cancel your order before the order is processed. Please refer to the cancellation and change policy in our Shop Policies page.

8. Would you mind if I post about my prints on social media?

We would be honoured if you share a photo of the prints on social media – if you’re happy with it. Don’t forget to tag @yasminandworld and @uuryaprints so we can share the news.

9. Do you ship the prints internationally?

Yes we ship our prints and framed prints internationally. We deliver to over 200 countries worldwide. However please note that customs fees may apply based on local regulations when we ship internationally across borders.

10. How are the prints shipped and packaged?

If you order our prints ‘Ready-to-Hang’, the prints will be packaged and shipped with the prints inserted into the frame.

If you order prints ‘Not Assembled’, the print and frame are packed separately in one packaging, final assembly is required. Don’t worry, it’s a snap to put them together – no expertise is required, and the hanging hardware is included.

If you order Prints only, the print will be packaged either in a flat inner paperboard folder, triangular/rectangular boxes (used in the US, Canada and Brazil) or a tube with a shipping roll.
